JW Launcher
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
JW Launcher is an independent home-screen app. It is not an official JW.ORG or Watch Tower publication.
Information on your device
The launcher reads the names and icons of installed launchable apps so it can show your app drawer. Your selected wallpaper palette, shortcuts, and other launcher preferences are stored on your device. JW Launcher does not create an account and does not include advertising, analytics, or an app-operated tracking service.
Optional notification access
If you enable Android notification access, JW Launcher reads active notifications to display them in its notification panel. The app processes these notifications on your device and does not send them to the developer. This access is optional and can be turned off in Android Settings.
Network access and third-party sites
The launcher connects to wol.jw.org to retrieve the Daily Text and opens JW.ORG pages in its embedded browser. Those sites and their providers may receive standard connection information, such as your IP address, and may use their own cookies or technologies. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies. External links are opened in your browser.
Storage, sharing, and retention
Launcher preferences and the cached Daily Text are stored locally. JW Launcher does not transmit this locally stored information to the developer or sell personal information. Uninstalling the app removes its app-private data. Information handled by JW.ORG, WOL, Android, or your browser is subject to their respective terms and policies.
Children
JW Launcher is a general-purpose launcher and is not designed specifically for children.
